Jordan's experience of working at Spencer Riley.

Q: Why did you join Spencer Riley?

I joined Spencer Riley because executive search is something I have thought about going into for a while but the main reason I joined is because of the earning potential and the future growth plans.

So far, my Spencer Riley career has had its ups and downs but in the grand scheme of things it has been hugely positive and something I wish to continue carry on progressing.

Q: What is most rewarding about your role?

The most rewarding thing about my role is when I place someone, and I get feedback on how their new position has changed their life and how I have contributed to making a difference to it.

Q: What skills, from your previous roles, helped with your transition to recruitment?

Coming from a sales background, I have been able to use my previous experience to help when speaking with potential clients and candidates and gain relevant information by asking appropriate questions.

Q: What advice would you give someone who wanted a role in recruitment?

The best advice I could give someone looking for a role in recruitment would be that the work you do at the start of your career are the foundations for your long-term success – it’s a steep learning curve but if you do it right at the start you won’t have to do it again.

Q: And finally, tell us about your future with Spencer Riley?

I hope to be with Spencer Riley long-term and I aim to, one day, have my own team of consultants.
