Spencer Riley is collaborating with a leading Embedded Software provider, and we are currently seeking a VP of Engineering to join their growing team. The position will be focused on creating and implementing an engineering roadmap within some of the leading OEM’s and Tier Ones across EMEA..  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and carry out the engineering plan in accordance with the mission and objectives of the business.
  • Encourage innovation and make sure that all embedded engineering teams implement best practices.
  • Find and seize fresh chances to improve product offers and competitiveness in the market.
  • Ensure excellent performance, engagement, and professional development by leading, mentoring, and motivating a diverse team of engineers.
  • Encourage a team-oriented, welcoming workplace that inspires innovation and excellence.
  • Create team members’ development plans, performance measures, and objectives in detail.
  • Oversee the effective design, implementation, and finishing of every embedded engineering project.
  • Assure effective resource management and distribution among several sites.
  • To maximise project delivery and quality, use strong project management processes and tools.
  • Create and oversee the embedded engineering budget, making sure it is both economical and in line with corporate goals.
  • Work together to support company objectives with cross-functional teams, such as those in product management, marketing, and sales.
  • Communicate with important consumers and stakeholders to learn about their needs and incorporate their suggestions into product development.
  • Ascertain that every embedded product satisfies or surpasses legal and industry criteria.
  • Establish and uphold strict procedures for quality assurance and validation.
  • Lead efforts for continual improvement to raise the performance and dependability of the product.

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Embedded software engineering, or a similar discipline; a master’s or doctorate is desirable.
  • 10+ years of Software engineering expertise, at least 5 of those years spent in top leadership positions.
  • Track record of successfully managing intricate projects and overseeing sizable engineering teams.
  • Robust technical foundation in Software architecture, design, and validation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Strategic thinker capable of converting corporate objectives into workable plans.
  • Prior budgetary and resource allocation management experience.
  • Fluent in English, Proficiency in German.
