Sales Manager - Germany - Food Ingredients

Location: Hamburg, Germany.

Salary: €90,000 to €120,000 + additional benefits – depending on experience. 

Spencer Riley is collaborating with a global food ingredient provider, and we are currently seeking a dynamic join their team Sales Manager for the German Market, with the goal to cultivate new business opportunities. This exciting opportunity is based in Germany. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Development and implementation of area sales strategy

• Preparation of go-to-market plan and implementation with the area sales team.

• Leverage the Business Development / Product Management functions and set detailed category plans for each subregion in the area. Plans to be aligned with Area Strategic Plan.

• Coordinate efforts to develop and deliver sales presentations to clients and customers that highlight sales accomplishments and areas of opportunity.

• Making sure claim and deductions are promptly handled. Facilitate resolution with the manufacturers and customer as needed.

• Use key tools available to support commercial excellence.

• Identify innovation projects capable of growing sales in the area and work closely with R&D to ensure development of core organisational capabilities to take to market

• Expected to provide leadership of the collaboration between the commercial teams.

• Attend and participate in trade shows

• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Sales experience in the B2B Food ingredient is essential.

• Fluent in German and English is essential.

• Driven and high level of negotiation and customer contact skill

• Degree in Food Technology or science is Preferred
