Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 Base Salary + Bonus, + Comms, + Benefits – depending on experience.
Spencer Riley is collaborating with a leader in Digital HACCP & Temperature Monitoring, and we are currently seeking an International Distribution Relationship Manager to join their growing team. The position will be focused on developing and maintaining strong relationships between European distributors and our client, providing regular sales and technical training to distributors, collaborating with distributors to develop localised sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase market penetration. The region this position covers includes, but is not limited to, the following countries: Netherlands, Spain, France, Australia and Italy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with international distributors.
- Ensure distributors receive comprehensive training in product technology, including installation techniques, product demonstration, trouble shooting, sales approach, features, benefits, and usage.
- Become competent and capable of leading the sales and technical training initiatives for distributors
- Support distributors in the corporate selling including field trips to potential customers.
- Support distributors through monthly support calls and webinars.
- Provide regular sales and technical training, focusing on effective demonstration techniques, customer engagement, and closing sales.
- Lead further development of distributor training materials as required.
- Monitor distributor performance against agreed-upon sales targets and provide ongoing support to help them achieve their revenue goals.
- Collaborate with distributors to develop localized sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase market penetration.
- Conduct regular reviews with distributors to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
- Act as the key point of contact between distributors and internal teams (e.g., product development, marketing, customer support).
- Organize and lead product demonstrations and technical training webinars for distributors.
- Travel internationally to meet with distributors, provide training, and support regional sales efforts.
- Gather feedback from distributors on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform future product development and sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing international distributor relationships or sales within a technology-driven industry.
- Proven track record of driving sales through distributor networks and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of technology sales processes, techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
- Experience in delivering training sessions and product demonstrations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Knowledge of temperature monitoring systems compliance requirements in life science, healthcare or food industries would be a distinct advantage.
