Spencer Riley are partnered with a leading global food ingredient provider, currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to drive growth by securing new business and expanding relationships with key clients in target markets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering the company’s sales strategy through market application areas and/or geographical expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Achievement: Meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new leads from both prospective and existing clients through networking, events, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Opportunity Management: Identify and close key opportunities and projects on a quarterly basis.
  • Pipeline Development: Build a robust pipeline of short, medium, and long-term opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Manage customer communications and provide input on behalf of clients for internal projects.
  • Customer Visits: Conduct regular customer visits to create and nurture opportunities, aligning with quarterly individual and company goals.  

Qualifications:

  • Education: A scientific degree in food technology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the B2B food ingredients or human nutrition sector.
  • Skills: Commercial background in sales and marketing, with a proven track record of results.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Attributes: Results-driven, self-motivated, and strategic in approach.
