A work anniversary for our Jackie Parkhill
We sat down with Jackie and asked her a few extra questions about her time with Spencer Riley.
Q: What was your first impression of Spencer Riley?
A: Wow. After spending a long (and I mean long) time in Law, I think I was a rabbit in headlights. However, everyone has been wonderfully supportive, and it certainly makes my life a little easier working with great colleagues who want to succeed.
Q: What's been your favourite part of working at Spencer Riley?
A: Everything really – the culture, the people and their constant drive for wanting to do the very best for their clients and candidates.
Q: What does the future hold at Spencer Riley?
A: The future really is bright for Spencer Riley. We have a great MD whose vision for success and growth will see it succeed.
Q: Who's been your biggest inspiration at Spencer Riley?
A: I think it has to be our Office Manager, Claire Dove. She supports all of us – quietly, proficiently and is always one step ahead. No wonder she wins so many internal awards for her caring attitude. She’s become a good friend and sounding board.
And now about you......
Q: Nike or Adidas?
A: New Balance!
Q: Beer or spirits?
A: Spirits - particularly rhubarb and ginger gin or Campari (with tonic) and my absolute favourite, Benedictine.
Q: Star Wars or Star Trek?
A: Star Wars - my kids would hang me out to dry if I said anything different.
Q: Europe or long haul?
A: Both - Europe for a cheeky long weekend away and a long haul for total relaxation.
Q: Favourite place?
A: Harrogate - a beautiful town - in which I am very fortunate to live. I'm also surrounded by everyone that matters to me.
Q: Football, Rugby, or Cricket?
A: Football. Oh, and golf.
Q: Favourite team?
A: There can only be one, surely? LIVERPOOL.
Q: What would you sing at Karaoke?
A: Absolutely nothing if you wanted the clientele to remain where they sat 😮😜
Q: Ever had a nickname?
A: Kie - as in Jackie - it's something my husband calls me and now others have cottoned on.
Q: How would your friends describe you?
A: Always there for them....
Q: What's your go-to guilty pleasure?
A: My own homemade ice cream dessert called Amaretto Semifreddo.
Q: What 4 people would you have dinner with (living or dead)
A: Umm - Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Jurgen Klopp and Daniel Craig - that should do it.
